How to build confidence

You’re here because you wanna know how to build confidence right?

To get out there and live your life happily without feeling insecure and like the world is judging you?

I use to suffer from social anxiety as well as depression and paranoia and somewhat still do, but from personal experience, I have somewhat overcome or at the very least able to better handle social situations with ease.

I want to share with you some techniques and methods you can implement in order to gain more self-confidence in yourself (Now, I’m not saying that what I’m about to share with you will completely remove your anxiety, just better tolerate it).

And here we go, in no particular order or steps we have…

Methods for building self-confidence.

#1. Keep yourself busy.

Keeping yourself busy is a very good way to deter your mind from the thoughts that creep up, telling you that you can’t do it or you’re not good enough, that people judging you behind your back.

But the thing is, to not overwork yourself and keep a good balance and moderation of rest and work, doing anything that keeps you busy is good where it be working more, earning more money, going for a jog or simply going out and talking to people, now I know this might not always be the option for everyone, but another way to best keep your self-confidence up is to push yourself out of your comfort zone (to which we will talk about next).

#2. Push yourself out of your comfort zone.

Another good way to gain more confidence is to push yourself out of your comfort zone and I know this may sound counter-intuitive since you’re trying to build confidence to better face your fears and to become more comfortable in your own skin to venture out into uncharted waters.

However, once you push yourself out of your comfort zone into situations that you would normally fear, what do you need to fear after that? sure it will still be scary but it’ll be less scary than before because you’ve been there now.

You don’t have to force yourself straight in the deep end, just little by little, bit by bit and the more you get out there, the more you will get used to it.

#3. Work alongside a group to achieve the same or a similar goal.

This might be at work, outside work, you might want to join a sports club, a travel group or some other sort, either way, but socializing with and getting involved with a group of like-minded people striving to complete the task at hand to achieve the same end goal, well let me tell you that there’s no other feeling like being involved in something alongside others.

#4. Have goals and hopes that you would want to aspire to.

Have you ever had a goal, whether it be short term or a long term goal? if you haven’t then I would implore you to get one. Having goals and aspirations is a must and will give you a heap of confidence when you go out, nearly all that you’ll want is to further your progress toward what you set out for.

This is especially important in boosting your own self-esteem, so get yourself some personal goals and trust me, your confidence will peak!

#5. Remain focused

When going out and about, you have to keep the main reason in mind/the end goal in mind, keeping focused and staying true to the reason that you traveled outside the confines of your comfort zone can give you just enough confidence and esteem to make it through the day, or the week.

What to take away

In today’s world and society, confidence is a must, since we have all become more connected due to the introduction of new technologies, software, and devices.

So remember when you go out, keep in mind and be motivated by the end goal you set out for, become motivated and inspired by what you’ll achieve at the end of the process.

The above 5 tips that I mentioned have worked tremendously for me and I hope that they will work for you too. I know-how life can really suck and seem depressing because you don’t have the right motivation and enough confidence to go outside/beyond the confines of your walls.
